I am Michelle, owner of and practitioner with My Living Reiki. I am a highly sensitive person, experienced Reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, meditation & mindfulness instructor, and trauma recovery coach. Using Reiki as a foundational piece to healing, I also integrate Somatic EMDR as well as somatic and polyvagal exercises.
The route to achieve alignment is unique for each individual. In my practice, I work with you to develop your own process. We work with the body, the mind, the emotions, and the essence of your being, within this realm and the quantum field. We follow and enhance what is there, as well as find new solutions and outlets. We will awaken the parts of you that have been forgotten, and the parts that are begging for attention. (i.e.: peaceful body, silent mind, emotional stability, etc.)
This process is breath takingly beautiful and I have dedicated my life to it. It is the portion of life that I never knew was there, never knew I needed, has always been there, and has delivered me, to me. This life is in everyone, the work lies in quieting yourself enough to listen.
Movement and stillness are both requirements in this beautiful chaotic world we live within. As a former professional dancer, I have a deep understanding of how movement integrates the mind, body, and spirit when the nervous system becomes unbalanced. I also have a deep understanding of how stillness can invite healing energies for profound growth, transformation, and innate peacefulness.
Through my own self-discovery, I’ve learned that Reiki, yoga, meditation, movement, and even somatic reprocessing are all complementary; it is all energy work. After pushing my body to the extremes, and multi-tasking the wide variety of to-do lists, the stress and exhaustion became too great a price. Ultimately, it was not a choice, change or be consumed. I followed my internal calling, and transformed my life with flow and stillness, breath and joy. I now impart these valuable practices for both professional and everyday life.
